The Central Rockies
Schipperke Club welcomes
individuals and families
willing to adopt a
rescue Schipperke.
Some of the dogs in
the rescue program
have special needs,
so one may not be
available when you
apply. We keep all
applications active,
unless otherwise requested.
You may want to look
at Should
Everyone Own a Schipperke
for more information.
We will also forward
an application to
a rescue group in
an area nearer your
home in case there
are Schipperkes available
for adoption there.
The Central Rockies
Schipperke Club is
committed to the welfare
of all purebred Schipperkes.
We rescue Schips from
shelters, take in
unwanted Schips, and
even assist those
who have lost their
Schips. Adopters will
go through a screening
process and a home
check. You will also
be asked to sit and
visit with Schips.
The dogs we have available
have been medically
screened, spayed/neutered
by a licensed vet,
and temperament tested
by someone experienced
with Schipperkes.
We feel these animals
are very desirable
and will be a happy,
healthy companion
to you for many years.
When we place our
dogs, we ask for a
donation of $200,
or $100 for dogs age
8 and over. This covers
the cost of altering,
the vet check, shots
and other necessary
needs. Any monies
left are deposited
in the CRSC Rescue
Fund to cover food
and care of the rescue
dogs. After you have
completed the Adoption
Application you will
be placed on a waiting
list. We try to match
a dog’s personality
with your lifestyle
and family situation.
Many of these dogs
have been neglected
and need time to believe
they found a real
home that will be
theirs forever. In
fairness to the dogs
we ask that you make
a commitment to keep
the dog for a reasonable
length of time, be
patient, and keep
in contact with CRSC
club members.
Foster
Families Needed
Our program is larger
than we could have
imagined when we started
it. We are in need
of foster families
in the Colorado area.
